Description: Wireframes and Example Screens of LF Connector

Problem: One of Laserfiche’s products is Connector - a powerful tool (via Google Chrome Extension) that allows users to automate web searches and fill in data from one app to another. However, the User Experience for creating this particular action for the average user (i.e., Profile Creation Wizard) was too complicated for the average user.

Solution: Alongside a UX colleague, we looked at various automation software and discussed the technical aspects of the profile set-up with the Connector team. I broke down the set-up process into manageable chunks and presented them with not only the user flow but visual design recommendations to make the app function better.

Results: Simplified the Profile Creation Wizard with more intuitive interactions and visual appeal

Description: Design examples for LF Connector - an app that gives Laserfiche customers the power to search, print from, scan and peruse their file repositories using Ricoh's MFD (Multi-Function Display) technology

Problem: The offshore team tried building a copy of the Android app I designed for hi-end Ricoh printers with Displays but they could not finish it in time do to lack of UX supervision.

Solution: I worked with the team to polish the UI and UX and sent them hi-res mockups of how the app should function.

Results: Completion of the Ricoh MFD APK that mirrored the fluid experience of the repository view on desktop and mobile

Description: Succinct exploration of the company's single sales page with UX considerations on improving interaction, usability, etc.

Problem: This client needed a fresh set of eyes to evaluate whether or not its single sales page needed some fundamental design changes to help drive better interaction (i.e., purchase the item)

Solution: I looked at the hierarchy of information and re-envisioned the elements so that Limited Offer became an important component to the design alongside analysis of competitors such as Rakuten, BuyDig, Groupon and Best Buy. I also made suggestions to how the page would render on mobile devices.

Results: Optimization of key pieces of information to help users find the most relevant content and initiate sales in a timely manner

Description: Design exercise for developing a web-based project focused on lead generation management, OpenProspect

Problem: The client wanted a robust web application that would be able to handle a large amount of data from an existing source (i.e., Microsoft Excel) and make it easy for the admin to add, delete and modify the imported content.

Solution: I approached this particular problem by looking at popular aggregation tools such as Salesforce and Laserfiche Suite and how they easily accomplished the automatic data processing. As a result, I came up with a hybrid solution that would result in a new application that was both modern and easy-to-use.

Results: Creation of a new product that would handle multiple inputs and have sound user experience principles embedded in its core

Description: Brief UX analysis of the East West Bank web and mobile portal - highlighting specific areas for improvement

Problem: I was asked by the client to do a quick analysis of pain points that their customers might experience as a result of their online offerings.

Solution: After looking thoroughly on their web portal and mobile app, I researched other financial institutions and how they approached online banking. I took my knowledge of visual, interaction and user experience design to give them pointers via slideshow presentation.

Results: Documentation of optimized visuals and interactive patterns that will make the international bank’s portal more enticing to its customers

Description: Redesign of Favado.com, a popular shopping companion that helps consumers cut their grocery bill in half

Problem: The Product team needed a new way to streamline the site, give it more functionality and make it as usable as its mobile app.

Solution: After analyzing the user data, I simplified the site flow, information hierarchy and wireframed how the site would look on both web and mobile. I also integrated the core app features into the website. Lastly, hi-res mockups were given to the Product team.

Results: Modernization of the Favado portal in terms of content, usability and functionality for web and mobile users alike

Description: Modernization of Favado’s Android presence

Problem: The company ported over an old iOS version of their popular shopping app over to Android and were not happy with outcome.

Solution: I spent time looking at various app competitors who had migrated their look and feel to Material Design. I went ahead and made the necessary changes to make the app more appealing for customers who were on this particular platform.

Results: Transformation of the popular shopping tool into a full-fledged native experience for Android users

Description: Responsive designs for this robust price comparison portal, alongside the re-design of its popular Chrome extension (last image)

Problem: The initial offering was a Chrome extension that allowed users to quickly scan an item on the page and find a much better deal. However, the Product team wanted a web version that was both responsive and compelling to fans of PriceJump.

Solution: I researched other competitor sites and also collaborated with the team to find out the good and bad of the product. I tweaked the Chrome extension to be have better information hierarchy. Lastly, I created a scalable landing page for those unfamiliar with the cost-savings app.

Results: Increased conversion of customers who were not familiar with PriceJump and Positive feedback from fans who use the tool to find great deals on the web

Problem: The company wanted to take their special deals website and create the same compelling experience for mobile users on-the-go.

Solution: With the help of a talented Product Lead, we looked at various barcode scanning and location-based consumer apps for inspiration. We then took a bit of both to create an app that users could quickly access and find the best deal, regardless of their location.

Results: Significant buzz among consumers already familiar with PriceJump, Savings and other cost-savings websites

Problem: The Product team had valuable data of specific items that were popular each month/season in terms of sales. The team members wanted to use this to help drive traffic to their affiliate links and generate revenue.

Solution: Alongside the Product Lead, I designed a quick and easy-to-understand interface for customers to see what deals were in store for that month (e.g., What to Buy, Expected Store Sales and Seasonal Sales). I also envisioned how it would look on a mobile browser.

Results: Increased sales for monthly/seasonal items on the Savings.com portal
