AudioDigest Mobile
Introduction
AudioDigest, a subsidiary of Wolters Kluwer Health, is the premiere auditory learning tool for clinicians worldwide.
Challenge
The team was in desperate need of major UX and UI updates on their aging mobile application.
Market Research
Due to the niche aspect of the app, I had to take inspiration from other audio-based sources for inspiration, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
App Analysis
Due to the niche aspect of the app, I had to take inspiration from other audio-based sources for inspiration, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
Brainstorming
Working alongside the Executive Director of Product, we focused on aspects of the mobile app that were successful and looked at ways to enhance what the product’s primary function: to allow physician and other medical professionals to listen to audio lectures with ease.

Initial User Flow
Based on our discussions, I started with a simple diagram that would mimic the primary User Experience for this interactive demo. The user flow included modal windows for New User Sign-in, User Account Info and Password Reset..
Extended User Flow
After a few brainstorming sessions, I created a diagram of the demo's main interactions in order to show prospective customers how easy it was to trade digital coins (e.g., Buy, Sell and Trade) on the AlphaPoint Wallet website.
Extended User Flow
User Interface Design
Alongside the project's functional and content requirements, I went ahead and made a hi-fidelity mockup of the main interface. To keep AlphaPoint Wallet similar to other cryptocurrency products, I kept the overall look clean, modern and professional.
Hi-Res Mockup of the Wallet Main Page
In addition to laying out the main UI, I fleshed out the designs of the interior pages (including overlay menus) to give users the ability to see the full breadth of this cryptocurrency trading platform.
Development
After we had gotten the green light from the client, the Product team submitted my hi-res mockups to engineering for final implementation. We assisted in the QA process until the web demo looked and functioned as planned.
Results
The client was happy with the overall product when it came to the User Experience and User Interface. Furthermore, it was a pleasure to design a cryptocurrency trading solution and I learned more about this growing field.
Final Thoughts
I would have liked to observe how the attendees interacted with the web tool and conduct interviews and tests. It would have also been nice if we could have finished making AlphaPoint Wallet into a real product instead of just an interactive demo.
